Theatrical Puppetry performance The story of Ramayana In the scene “The battles and the Floating Lady”.  As Totsakan had abducted Princess Sita, Rama’s consort, Prince Rama’s army thus advances towards the palace of Totsakan.  In desperation, Totsakan devises a ploy to defuse the cause of the war. If Princess Sita were dead, he thinks, Prince Rama would discontinue the war. He therefore orders his niece, Princess Benyakai, to transform herself into Princess Sita, feign dead and float pass Prince Rama’s camp on the river. Fortunately, Hanuman suspects trick as the body had unnaturally floated against the current. Hanuman then put the body to the ultimate test.
